Hana is a desogestrel contraceptive tablet which is now avalible to buy without a prescription.
Its a daily tablet (75mcg) and has been reclassified from a prescription only medicine to a pharmacy medicine meaning you can now buy it without the need for a prescription.
Hana 75 microgram film coated tablets contain desogestrel and is indicated for oral contraception in women of childbearing age to prevent pregnancy.

ONE tablet taken orally. Must be taken at the same time everyday, always ebsure there is a 24 hour interval between the two tablets.
First tablet should be taken on day 1 of menstrual bleeding, can ber started on days 2-5, but barrier method recommended for first 7 days of tablet-taking. Thereafter one tablet daily (continuously) without taking any notice of possible bleeding.
When pack is finished, a new pack should be started directly a day after the previous one.
Like all medicines, Hana can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Tell your pharmacist, doctor or family planning nurse if you notice any unwanted effect, especially if severe or persistent.
Most commonly reported side-effects are:
Bleeding irregularity, headache, mood changes, depressed mood and breast pain.

Room temperature
The active substance is desogestrel.
Each film-coated tablet contains 75 microgram desogestrel.
The other ingredients are alpha-tocopherol; maize starch; povidone; stearic acid; hypromellose; macrogol 400; titanium dioxide (E 171); lactose monohydrate.
