This cream is effective in treating patients suffering from vaginal thrush
Gyno-Daktarin comes in the form of a vaginal cream that contains the active ingredient miconazole. Gyno-Daktarin products may be used for the treatment of fungal infections of the vagina, such as the vaginal thrush.
What is Gyno-Daktarin?
Gyno-Daktarin comes in the form of a vaginal cream that contains the active ingredient miconazole. Miconazole is an antifungal medication that is used in the treatment of infections with yeasts and fungi. Gyno-Daktarin products may be used for the treatment of fungal infections of the vagina, such as the vaginal thrush.
How does the cream work?
Miconazole kills yeasts and fungi by interfering with their cell membranes. This medication works by stopping the production of the substance ergosterol, an essential component of fungal cell membranes. The disruption in the ergosterol production affects the cell membrane, resulting in holes appear in it.
The cell membranes are vital for the fungi’s survival. They prevent foreign substances from entering the cells and at the same time stop the leaking out of the contents of the cells. Because miconazole results in holes to appear in the cell membranes, essential components of the fungal cells leak out, killing the fungi and treating the infection.
Gyno-Daktarin vaginal cream is used on the vagina for the treatment of candidosis and other fungal infections. This type of infection causes inflammation and discharge from the vagina, known as the vaginal thrush. Inserting the medicine into the vagina allows miconazole to act directly in the area where there is infection.
What are the benefits of using Gyno-Daktarin cream?
Gyno-Daktarin kills the fungi and yeasts causing the infection and, by doing so, is very effective at eliminating the symptoms. It also has a quick onset of action.
Insert the cream into the vagina ONCE daily before bedtime for 7 days.
