Treatment of herpes simplex virus infections of the lips and face (cold sores).

Adults, elderly and children: Apply 5 times daily for 4 days starting at the first sign of a cold sore (blister or tingle stages). If healing has not occurred after this time, continue for up to 10 days. If lesions are still present after 10 days a doctor should be consulted.
